Season Format & Schedule
Calendar structure, phases, and cup fixtures details.
1. Overall Season Structure
The fantasy season is divided into 38 Gameweeks, running in parallel with the official English Premier League calendar. Every weekend, players score points for their fantasy managers based on real-world match events.
2. Seasonal Phases
To maintain high excitement and give latecomer managers a chance to win prizes, the leaderboard divides the campaign into three phases:
- Autumn Phase: Gameweeks 1–12 (Awards first phase winner)
- Winter Phase: Gameweeks 13–26 (Navigates winter rotation, blank fixtures, and double weeks)
- Spring Phase: Gameweeks 27–38 (The final run-in, wildcard deployments, and global title decided)
3. The Fantasy Cup Run
- Qualifiers: The top-scoring 4 million managers in Gameweek 17 qualify automatically.
- Format: Randomly paired head-to-head knockouts starting in Gameweek 18.
- Rules: Single elimination each week; loser is knocked out and winner advances until the Cup Champion is crowned in Gameweek 38.
4. Blank & Double Gameweeks
- Blank Gameweeks: Postponed matches due to domestic cup clashes mean certain clubs do not play.
- Double Gameweeks: Rescheduled matches are packed into a single week, meaning clubs play twice.
- Strategy: Players earn points from both matches; ideal for activating Bench Boost or Free Hit chips.
5. Winter Break & Price Lockdowns
- Player values are locked during the mid-season winter break to prevent market volatility.
- Trades remain open, but price metrics remain static until the next gameweek deadline.
